Agnieszka Waligórska

B. in Krakau, lives in Helsinki.

Agnieszka Waligórska composes electro-acoustic music for radio, exhibitions and multimedia-projects. She is the co-founder of the ProTon-Klang-Research- and Performance-Group in Helsinki, together with her husband Pekka Sirén. As a member of ProTon-Gruppe she works as a vocal performer, actress, sound designer and choreographer for the Finnish Experimental Studio. Her compositions are broadcasted by international radio stations and performed at international sound art festivals. With Pekka Sirén, Agnieszka Waligórska has com-posed pieces such as Akaklaklak, Alak and Metropolis Krakau. She also writes for theatre, television and radio as well as being an active graphic artist and photographer.
