I mainly work with video and performance, where the sound is an important part of my artistic expression or I work only with sound as an expression itself.

My main focus however lies on the relationship between sound and movement. Exploring the space that arises in between, the relationship changes between concurrence and displacement.

Working with sound I often use basic sound elements, which I isolate, deconstruct and put together in a new way. Through a process of abstraction and recomposing, the sound elements are put in another order, with a different rhythm.

I am interested in the sound in itself, its expression and function, and also our experience of sound. I want to underline and strengthen its distinctive character, its emotional qualities and atmosphere. Piecing together simple sound elements into more complex chords and rhythms gives a new sound character and expression, and the sound is put outside its original function and context. By changing the sound structure and its context, arises for me a new meaning in the sound.
