Anna Eriksson

Sweden, b. 1963. Lives in Göteborg.

Studied music at Malmö Academy of Music, composition at School of Music, Göteborg University.

One of her first pieces: Bah! – 1996, for clarinet and a sounding teddybear.

Composer and sound artist. Writes chamber music, music for theatre and sound art. An interest in making the traditional concert integrated with sound installations is one of her music’s main characteristics. Chamber music with traditional instruments co-operate with, for instance, talking parrots, toy robots, dripping caves …

Ensembles and musicians have performed her music in Sweden and abroad.
