First artwork with sound: On The Ground, 2006.

I am working with painting, photography, video, sound, objects and public commissions. I use the digital camera as a sketchbook and lead the photographs further on into my paintings, into video/film/sound. Mostly I am working in series, and with ideas in processes. For every special occasion I use the techniques and materials needed to tell my stories and to shape my ideas. My work with sound started through film, and now it’s a new exciting material to me.

On The Ground, is a short film and part of a process where I investigate the ground surface, as surface, landscapes, time, as surface telling different kinds of stories in various contexts. The sound is as important as the pictures and video sequences. I cut parts from already existing sounds, put them together and turn them into the sound that I need. The film is a game, playing with stills, video and sound, built on rhythm and colour.
