Karólína Eiríksdóttir is a composer and works as a teacher at The Reykjavík College of Music. She composes solo and chamber pieces, orchestral pieces, computer music and opera. Her works have been performed in the Nordic countries, France, England, Vienna, Tokyo, the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Argentina. She was chairman of the board of The Iceland Music Information Centre and of The Society of Icelandic Composers. Presently she is on the boards of Reykjavík Arts Festival and Iceland Academy of the Arts.
