1969-72 studies with Aloys Kontarsky in Cologne. Worked later as a teacher at Birkagårdens Folkhögskolas classical music study programme.

 

Pianist Kristine Scholz is known for her interpretations of music by John Cage, Henry Cowell and Karl Heinz Stockhausen. As a duo, Kristine Scholz and Mats Persson have played four-handed piano since their studies at the academy of music in Cologne. From 1973 they have worked as free-lance musicians, touring Western Europe, USA and Canada, both together and separately. Their repertoire is mainly directed to contemporary music.

 

Many contemporary composers have written music for the duo, some of the Swedish composers are: Jan W. Morthenson, Dror Feiler, Pär Lindgren, Lars Sandberg, Daniel Börtz and Sven David Sandström. Later the classics Bach, Liszt, Busoni, Stravinskij and Debussy have been included in their program. The duo-pianists also have engaged in adaptions of Webern, Beethoven, Stravinskij, Ravel and others.

 

From 1972-1980s member of the avantgarde group Harpans Kraft (Göran Rydberg percussion and conductor, Peter Schuback, later Olof Franzén, cello and Kerstin Ståhl, vocals). Improvisations with Marie Selander, Tuomo Haapala and others.

Engaged in Swedish contemporary art and music venue Fylkingen, Stockholm.
