Maria Duncker

Finland, b. 1963. Lives in Helsinki.

1985-88 University of industrial Arts in Helsinki, ceramics.

1988-92 Academy of Arts in Helsinki, sculpture, mixed media.

First sound artwork: 1995

Sculptor. Work and projects: sculpting, video, performance, photo, music, dresses. Works outdoors and indoors.

Her wide production has recently focused on media arts; video works and slide shows. With a freshly naïvistic touch she treats anything between porn and woodsmanship! Her style varies from conceptual experimentalism to narrativity.

Cooperation with dancer Vera Nevanlinna and musician Tuomo Puranen.
