“Pure Feelings And Concrete Sex”

Tymark and Lundkvist consists of Johanna Tymark (visual artist) and Elisabet Lundkvist (visual artist and singer) both living in Gothenburg. Tymark and Lundkvist arose from their mutual interest in similar music and became a forum where they allowed themselves to wallow in emotions, sweetness and romance. Concepts that sometimes seem to be taboo in a female visual artists work. Without distance or irony, they are manifest in audiovisual performances where the artist’s song (in harmonies and chorus/reply) was emphasised. They may be shy but never prudish: sex is often brought up in a direct way as a part of life.

Performances like Riding, Never will marry, Mountain Low and The Art of Losing originates from captivating experiences of already existing songs and poems.
