Film/ videoartist Saloranta “is a visual artist who is interested in words”. Images, texts and words, architecture, details in an apartment and human beings, often seen fragmentary or from a distance, are parts of Elina Saloranta’s work. Through voice-over, dialogue, or text, the experience of foreign languages, differences in meanings of words, understanding and misunderstandings fill in more layers of associative connotations – of travelling, love and sufferings.
