First sound art work: The Story of a Woman who Complains a Lot, video, slide and sound installation, 1999
I am working with video, film, photography and live art.
In Story Café I have recorded stories from passers-by in a small shop space, which I decorated in London (2004) and in Limerick, Ireland (2006). I offered the visitors a cup of coffee in exchange for a story: “Tell a Story – Get a Coffee”.
I have also interviewed people in their thirties. The interviewees have made choices in their life that differ from the ordinary or have had difficult experiences, which they reveal to the camera, analyzing their situation in retrospect.
Several of my videos are collages of Super8 and 16mm images tied together by a voice-over. Some are personal stories and some are like recorded performances with a voice-over added to the image.
